Looking for a fun spot to play trivia in Raleigh? The city’s best trivia venues offer delicious food, cheap drinks and questions that will put your brain to work. Gather your teammates, study up and grab a table at one of these local hangouts for an exciting trivia night.
Raleigh Brewing Company
Raleigh Brewing Company uses the Team Trivia format, where you wager your points based on your confidence level. If there’s a category you don’t know much about, you can bet only 1 point for that question. If you’re an expert in a category, you can wager 5 points!
My Way Tavern
For a less formal trivia night, head to My Way Tavern on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. You’ll quickly work through lightning rounds of trivia that have four rounds of ten questions each. The prize is $50 in gift cards so you decide whether you play by yourself or as a team! Keep your thirst at bay with $2.50 domestic bottles.
Edwards Mill Bar and Grill
Edwards Mill Bar and Grill in North Raleigh has Team Trivia nights Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and Fridays at 9 p.m. The teams who win first, second and third place win free food in the form of gift cards, with $40 for the first place prize. The bar runs a trivia night special of $3.50 North Carolina beers on Tuesdays and $2.50 domestic beers on Fridays. Show up early to claim a good spot!
House of Hops
Come out to House of Hops for trivia in Raleigh on Thursdays at 8 p.m. Invite your friends, or arrive solo and join a group. The top three winning teams go home with prizes! The family-owned craft beer retail store features 24 rotating draft beers and over 400 bottled and canned beers. Each week a food truck parks outside offering tasty treats to complement your brew.
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
Think while you drink on Tuesdays at Flying Saucer. Standard trivia is at 7 p.m. while a more adult-centered trivia game begins at 9:30 p.m. Choose from the extensive beer list with both North Carolina beers and brews from all over the United States. Hungry? Order a shareable starter like Cheese Fries Surprise, Hot Wings or a delicious sandwich such as the Turkey Meltdown.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema
Gear up for an intense night of trivia in Raleigh at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Work your way through the 70 questions by Geeks Who Drink in two hours spanning all sorts of topics. It’s an interactive style of trivia with plenty of smack talk flying around!
Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Concern
Wednesday at 8 p.m. is trivia night at Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Concern. Go for the game, but stay for the craft beer and great food. All domestic pints and bottles are $3.25 during the trivia, and house wines are just $4. Order a pizza or calzone for dinner and make sure to sample a few beers from the brewery.
