ComedyWorx

Raleigh improv is synonymous with ComedyWorx, an improv troupe located in the Royal Bakery Building that’s dedicated to fostering the city’s improv community. Bring the entire family for some good, clean fun on Friday and Saturday nights, or opt for a late-night, adult-oriented show. The troupe also performs private shows and hosts business training and team building workshops for organizations. Do you want to boost your skills as a comedian? Learn how to get a laugh from a crowd with one of their weekly improv classes.

Raleigh Improv

Headlining acts and local comedians alike grace the stage at Raleigh Improv. Don’t be surprised when you see celebrity comedians like Marlon Wayans and Steve Byrne with upcoming shows! The large comedy club is a popular place for a date night because you can enjoy upscale pub grub and your favorite alcoholic beverage during the show. Another popular option is to go with buddies and order the bucket of beers, pre-opened and chilled in an ice pail.

Enloe’s Happy Accident

The Happy Accident is an award-winning, audition-only Raleigh improv troupe based out of Enloe High School. The group performs all around Raleigh including SPARKcon and First Night Raleigh. Support some of the area’s youngest comedic talent by attending one of their performances at Enloe Theatre. Who knows, you may see some of these rising stars on the main stage very soon!

Goodnights Comedy Club is one of the top stand-up comedy clubs in America. Big names like Jay Leno and Ellen DeGeneres have headlined at the club, but rising stars also take the stage. Order from a limited menu in the comedy club, or have dinner beforehand at the full-service restaurant, The Factory, before the show. If you have an appetite for the limelight, sign up for the Improv Comedy 101 Class to learn how to use both short-form games and long-form improv structure. The class includes six two-hour-long improv class sessions at the club on Thursday nights, culminating in a graduation showcase on the final night.

The Un-Intentionals

For something a little different from your usual improv, check out The Un-Intentionals. The non-profit comedy group puts on shows in their original Comedy Sports format as well as themed shows based on popular board games and TV shows. Check out one of their free, family-friendly performances or book them for a company dinner, a birthday party or other events.
