Here are seven of our top picks for things to do in Raleigh this January.
Yoga Under the Stars
What better time to recommit to mindfulness than at the start of a New Year? Yoga Under The Stars at Morehead Planetarium is the perfect place to start. Join any of the four yoga sessions this month in the GlaxoSmithKline Full Dome Theater and be immersed in stunning visualizations of constellations. Each class will have a different feel but all of them will challenge you to maintain balance and find your zen. The first session is Jan. 10th at 5:30 p.m.
Five Points Rounders Rowdy Square Dance
Grab your partner for the Five Points Rounders and their Rowdy Square Dance at The Bullpen Jan. 13th from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Dancers of all experience levels are welcome, and the caller will provide lessons before each dance for newbies. Quench your thirst while you do-si-do with beer from Bull Durham Beer Co.
Durham’s first Sausagefest at The Rickhouse on Jan. 14th is every meat lover’s dream! Taste and stock your fridge with locally crafted sausages from your favorite restaurants and butcher shops. Could it be any tastier to do good?
